Did you make it to Hamilton Children's Day last year? If you did you would have seen how cool it was and if you didn't then you really missed out on a fantastic day of celebrating children / tamariki. Well, Children's Day is happening again this year so come down to Garden Place this Saturday 2nd March from 10am-2pm. Here's a clip from last year.
International Children's Day is a day recognized to celebrate children. The day is celebrated on various dates in different countries.
In New Zealand Children's Day, or Te rā o ngā tamariki, is always on the first Sunday of March each year. Here in Hamilton / Kirikiriroa we celebrate Children's Day on the first Saturday of March.
This year KFST will be giving away several 6th Generation iPads to several of it's lucky clients. To enter the draw to win an iPad simply get the official entry from from your support worker, fill it out (one per enrolled child), and bring it to Hamilton Children's Day on Saturday 2nd March and pop it in the box at our sausage sizzle stall. Also at our stall we will have a balloon twister, and free drinking water (bring your drink bottles).
Spread throughout Garden Place, Worley Place and the Museum will be a Youth Zone with #htownskateproject's skate competition. There'll be a dunk tank (hope the Mayor turns up with his togs), there'll be bouncy castles, plenty of characters from Disney and Star Wars, there'll even be free double decker buses to bring you into the event, and of course our FREE sausage sizzle and much much more. Find out more at https://www.facebook.com/ChildrensDayCarnival/ or from our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/FamilyStartHamilton/.
This year will be bigger and better than last year so make sure you come down and get in the groove with our celebration of children / tamariki. See you there!
