APPOINTEE SPECIFICATION
Qualification
A qualification ideally in accounting or business, suitable to the position and its duties.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
Proficiency in using Xero accounting software.
Ability to accurately input and process data.
Have a good understanding of GST.
Payroll experience, preferably using Xero
Accounts payable and receivable experience.
Great computer skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to communicate well and work as part of a team
Expertise in applying the articles and principles of the Treaty of Waitangi into practice

Ability to work effectively cross-culturally

The purpose of this role is to:

Support whānau to be well connected to their wider whānau

Support whānau workers/lead professionals to identify whānau, hapū and iwi relationships for whānau

Assist whānau to make connections to their wider whānau by identifying key names, places and or events

Support whānau to identify those within the whānau who may be able to offer support for their whānau

Develop and maintain relationships with iwi authorities across the motu

Facilitate wānanga for whānau around the effects of colonisation
